A Passion for the Field

Dolores is a pioneer in US Hispanic advertising since 1982. Her keen understanding of the communication persuasion process and her unparalleled sensitivity to cultural nuances, have played a key role in the development of her very many result-oriented/award winning campaigns for a wide range of marketing challenges in diverse categories.

Dolores spearheaded J. Walter Thompson’s Hispania/West division in 1982, transforming a once fledgling division into a thriving profit center. In 1987, she founded her own full-service advertising agency, Valdés Zacky Associates specializing in Hispanic advertising, which experienced a successful growth to $30+ million annual sales.

Dolores’ client roster encompasses the prestigious names of The Vons Companies, Universal Studios Hollywood, Taco Bell, Dole Pineapple Juice, Coors Brewing Company, Arrowhead Water, Mexicana Airlines, Mitsubishi Motors Sales of America, Chevron, The Gas Company, Southern California Edison, The California Department of Health Services, KB Home, The Latino Museum, Metro Phoenix Partnership of Arts and Culture, the Phoenix Zoo, and financial institutions such as California Commerce Bank, Great Western Bank, and Sumitomo.

Holding a Master of Arts Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from UCLA, Dolores is a contributing author to A Guide to Building Market Dominance, Univision/Roslow Research Group Inc., Isabel Valdes’ The Hispanic Market Handbook and The Latino Museum 2003 Curriculum Guide.

Dolores brings to InCulture Communications, 30 years of experience in strategic thinking in the areas of research, marketing, creative, advertising, PR, broadcast and print productions, media, special events, and sales promotions.
